CPD Pocket is a private CPD tracking companion. It is not an official professional-council record and does not determine or guarantee compliance.

Who is responsible

CPD Pocket is the responsible party for the personal information used by this service. Clerk, Vercel, and Neon act as service operators or processors.

Information we use

We keep the minimum information needed to provide the service: your sign-in identity, registration category, Point Entries, record versions and timestamps, and metadata-only operational audit events. A Point Entry includes the activity name, Clinical points, Ethics points, and Earned Date that you provide.

We do not add advertising identifiers, location tracking, contact access, certificate uploads, or product analytics.

Why we use it

We use this information only to authenticate a Practitioner, provide their private Point Tracker, calculate the rolling 12-month record, support data export and correction, delete an account, secure the service, and recover from failures. We do not sell personal information.

Where information is processed

The CPD Pocket API and database run in Frankfurt, Germany. Information therefore moves from South Africa for processing outside the country. Clerk, Vercel, and Neon may also process information through their contracted infrastructure. CPD Pocket remains responsible for using appropriate contractual and security safeguards for this cross-border processing.

Retention and your choices

Live account and tracker data is removed after verified account deletion. Encrypted recovery copies expire within 30 days, and metadata-only audit events expire within 90 days.

You can correct Point Entries in the app, export the agreed data as versioned JSON, or delete your account from the app. For privacy questions or to exercise a right, email privacy@cpdpocket.co.za.
